Multimodality Radiologic Tech (Per Diem)

About the role

The Radiology Department at Porter Medical Center performs 25,000 imaging exams annually using state-of-the-art equipment including a Philips 64-slice CT scanner, MRI, ultrasound, and Hologic 3D for mammography. Services are available 24/7, with additional coverage for ultrasound and MRI on weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, trauma, intraoperative, and radiological imaging
• Provide excellent customer service
• Cross train into other modalities as needed
• Obtain and maintain certification in relevant modalities
• Work shifts that vary based on department needs

Requirements

• Satisfactory completion of a formal radiological technology program in a CAHEA approved school
• Certification by the ARRT or its equivalent
• Vermont unrestricted State license to practice radiologic technology
• Maintain professional growth and development in the Radiology Tech field
• CT or mammography certification required

Qualifications

• Current Vermont unrestricted State license to practice radiologic technology
• Maintain certification in Tech’s special modality

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to cross train into other modalities
• Competence in relevant modalities
