CT Technologist with Sign on Bonus!

About the role

South Shore Health is seeking a CT Technologist to join their talented and dedicated team. This position offers competitive pay rates with new rates coming this fall, generous shift differentials, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for all full-time roles.

Responsibilities

• Maintains equipment for proper diagnostic imaging.
• Maintains equipment by cleaning daily and reporting system problems.
• Stocks rooms daily and sets up and adjusts equipment for exams.
• Calibrates the unit and sets control parameters based on exam standards.
• Accepts patients, assesses their condition, and prepares them for exams.
• Administers contrast agents and IV access using sterile technique.
• Reviews patient charts and requests with the Radiologist to ensure proper examinations.
• Communicates with patient units to ensure timely exam completion.
• Quality controls all images and adheres to safety regulations.
• Trains department personnel on performing CAT Scans.
• Uses anatomical knowledge to obtain maximum diagnostic information from images.
• Verifies patient information before administering care or procedures.
• Fulfills safety protocols including hand hygiene, marking surgical sites, and disposing of hazardous materials.

Requirements

• Minimum of three to four (3–4) years radiologic experience and special procedures experience preferred.
• One (1) year exposure or training in CT to be proficient.
• Formal training in Radiology Technology from an AMA-approved program.
• ARRT certification in CT and MA certification from the Radiation Control Program (Massachusetts).
• BLS and ACLS certifications from the AHA.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to obtain maximum diagnostic images.
• Experience with CT technology and procedures.
• Ability to follow department protocols and safety regulations.
