About the Role
The CT Technologist provides high-quality patient care during Computed Tomography (CT) procedures, utilizing approved workflows and protocols. Working under supervision, they operate specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross-sectional images that assist radiologists in diagnosing various conditions.
Responsibilities
- Operate head or body x-ray scanners to create CAT scans.
- Perform routine and special CT exams following protocols to ensure safety, minimize radiation exposure, and maintain productivity.
- Accurately document exams and charges in CHL and PACS systems, addressing errors for seamless workflow.
- Educate and prepare patients to improve understanding and cooperation, ensuring a positive experience.
- Adhere to safe practices, ALARA principles, and foster a Just Culture to enhance patient outcomes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent, with graduation from a Radiology, Imaging, or related program.
- Licenses/certifications such as ARRT (RT(R)(CT), RT(N)(CT)), NMTCB (CNMT, NMTCB(CT)), or a combination thereof.
- BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
