About the role
Provides technical expertise to multiple business units, functions as a resource to staff for orientation, continuing education, and protocol development. Assists with accreditation responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for tech quality assurance program and the reviewing and updating of protocols alongside of or in place of the lead technologists. Assumes leadership role in training staff on new equipment.
- Aid in accreditation responsibilities.
- Attend advanced training sessions and seminars to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques and disseminate information to imaging departmental leadership and as part of new hire orientation.
- Perform job responsibilities of CT Tech I & Advanced CT II Tech.
- Lead training on new techniques and protocols for research studies and collaborate with radiologists and researchers where applicable to identify new techniques and problem-solving resolutions.
- Serve as a technical resource to technologists on a daily operational basis. Assist technologists with continuing education needs and participate as a peer delegate in staff annual performance reviews.
- Create and implement new training programs, where applicable, and assist with the startup of new offsite locations. Responsibilities for new locations include, but are not limited to, working on reporting systems, obtaining appropriate images, and effectively communicating with attending physicians as well as co-workers and patients.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or certified by a CNMT program.
- 3 years CT experience required.
- Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.
