CT Technologist PRN

About the role

The CT Technologist performs routine and specialized imaging procedures using ionizing radiation in accordance with established professional and departmental standards. The CT Tech provides high-quality computerized tomography images used by physicians for diagnosis and treatment. We are seeking a phenomenal addition to our team who values patient care as much as we do.

Responsibilities

• Compassionately assist and position patients on CT table
• Start IVs for contrast injection when necessary
• Assess image quality and make adjustments as needed
• Provide patients with proper post-procedure instructions
• Prepare and turn over room using aseptic technique between patients; clean and sterilize equipment
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited AMA program with a certificate or degree in Radiology Technology
• ARRT-CT or NMTCB-CT certification or registry-eligible (required within 6 months of hire)
• Current license with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date
• Two years of experience preferred, with additional training in CT scanning
• On-call required; must be able to report to the facility within 30 minutes of call back
