About the Role
Provides computed tomography (CT) imaging in accordance with standards and organizational policies, ensuring patient safety and quality results.
Responsibilities
- Reviews patient history, schedules procedures, and educates patients about exams.
- Prepares and administers contrast media or medications within scope, monitors patient condition, and responds to changes.
- Prepares equipment, selects imaging parameters, performs safety checks, troubleshoots equipment issues, positions patients, and conducts imaging procedures.
- Analyzes imaging results, addresses quality issues, and reports findings; may perform 3-D post-processing.
- Employs critical thinking, works independently, and adapts in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
- Registered or registry eligible with ARRT in CT, with certification completed within 12 months.
- State licensure if legally required.
- Current BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
