Job Summary
You will utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions. Your compassionate interaction and skill in patient care will be crucial, as you play a significant role in fostering a positive and comforting patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Utilize your expertise to capture precise diagnostic images, enabling Radiologists to accurately diagnose and/or rule out diverse medical conditions.
- Adroitly create detailed cross-sectional images of the skeleton, tissues, and internal organs.
- Deeply understand the critical importance of diagnostic imaging, including a comprehensive knowledge of general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and the ability to consistently capture clear results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
- Performs CT scans based on current protocols and/or radiologist recommendations. CT scans include but are not limited to: Trauma/ER, Perfusions, Routine Body, Routine Neuro, Cardiac and Interventional Procedures.
- Utilizes good radiation safety practices for patients, self, and others. Uses ALARA on every exam when selecting parameters for exam based on patient age and habitats.
- Displays competency performing procedures; follows National Patient Safety Goals for two patient identifier, hand hygiene and universal precautions.
- Accurately enters, selects, and/or merges the correct patient identification information on the scanner and in PAC system.
- Accurately and proficiently performs work-ups, such as perfusions & reconstructions, on the 3-D workstation.
- Accurately and thoroughly completes hospital/department specific forms per protocol.
- Completes exams in Radnet. Completes incident reports/extravasations forms. Completes patient contrast information forms.
- Scans in documentation as required into PACS.
Job Requirements
- Required Completion of approved American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or equivalent approved Radiologic Technologist Program
- Registered Technologist Computed Tomography
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT
- Medical Radiographer: AZ
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CT CPRBLS)
- CT Radiology Tech: AZ
- Preferred Five years of CT experience
