Responsibilities
- Operating CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment following safety protocols.
- Positioning patients and assisting radiologists with imaging, IV placement, contrast administration, and interventional procedures.
- Evaluating scan quality, labeling images, and transmitting them to storage systems.
- Scheduling patients, managing clerical tasks, and maintaining accurate records.
- Training new technologists, providing patient care, and supporting protocol development.
- Contributing to research projects, assisting with new techniques, and ensuring optimal workflow.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited program or hold relevant certification/registry.
- ARRT registration required; CT certification obtainable within 18 months.
- Experience levels vary: Level I (new graduate, 0+ years), Level II (2+ years), Level III (4+ years).
- Certification in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, or CNMT;
- BLS certification.
