Role Overview
This position involves performing high-quality CT imaging, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and adhering to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Executes clinical CT procedures with appropriate technical factors tailored to patient needs, following radiation safety principles.
- Affords assistance in invasive procedures under CT guidance and participates in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Communicates effectively with patients, prepares them for exams, and provides education and emotional support.
- Maintains equipment, prepares contrast and sterile environments, transports patients, and ensures proper documentation and image distribution.
- Acts professionally, complies with ethical standards, and maintains a safe, clean work environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree or equivalent; certificate in radiologic technology from an accredited program.
- Registered by ARRT in Radiography and CT, or NMTCB in CT; valid BLS/CPR certification.
- Less than 1 year of CT experience required; successful completion of CT training or cross-training preferred.
- 10+ years of CT experience applicable for internal candidates hired before a specified date.
Additional Requirements
- Knowledge of CT principles, anatomy, radiation safety, and patient care techniques.
- Ability to operate and perform quality control on imaging equipment; adherence to regulatory standards.
- Strong communication, professionalism, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
