About the role
The CT technologist II Acute assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans in regional multi-ICU trauma medical center locations. Responsibilities include inpatient, outpatient, emergency department, and operating room procedures such as biopsies, drainages, cryogen, spinal injections, cardiac, trauma, and more.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for CT procedures.
- Operate CT equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
- Assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including biopsies, drainages, cryogen, spinal injections, cardiac, and trauma cases.
- Adapt procedures based on the age and specific needs of the patient.
- Interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to age-specific needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (required).
- 2-Year / Associate Degree (preferred).
- One year of experience in CT (preferred).
- Certified and registered by ARRT in CT - RT(R) or RT(N) or CNMT at time of hire.
- Certified and registered by ARRT in CT - RT(R)(CT) or RT(N)(CT) or CNMT, RT(CT) within 6 months of hire (required).
- Applicable state license (preferred).
