Role Overview
This position involves performing advanced CT imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and adhering to regulatory standards. The technologist executes clinical competencies across locations, selecting appropriate technical factors, and demonstrating age-appropriate care.
Responsibilities
- Performing IV access
- Contrast administration
- Assisting with invasive procedures
- Maintaining equipment
- Participating in performance improvement initiatives
- Patient education
- Effective communication to coordinate patient care and flow
Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent
- RT certification in Radiologic Technology and CT required
- Less than 1 year (or 6 months) of CT experience required; successful completion of CT training preferred
- Licenses: ARRT in Radiography and CT, or NMTCB/other recognized certifications
- Experience with CT scanning, with 10+ years for internal candidates prior to specific date
- Certifications: BLS/CPR, radiation safety, and other regulatory requirements
