Position Summary
Provides quality patient care when performing diagnostic imaging and related procedures to demonstrate anatomy for interpretation and/or intervention while adhering to radiation safety principles.
Essential Functions
- Performs X-Ray and DEXA exams.
- Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to quality care.
- Delivers appropriate care while recognizing patient conditions and ensuring successful completion of procedures.
- Complies with all state and federal regulations applicable to each modality.
- Maintains cleanliness of work area and equipment.
- Maintains well-stocked and organized work areas.
- Provides patient transport.
Education/Training
- Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology;
- or Graduate of an approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Licensure/Certification
- Maintains current AHA BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
- Maintains valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida.
- Must meet one of the following criteria:
- Valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (R) and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (CT);
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMTCB) in (CT);
- Valid Nuclear Medicine Certification Board (NMTCB) in (CNMT) and valid American Registry of Radiologic Certification (CT).
Experience
- Mandatory minimum of two (2) years’ CT experience.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: Advanced imaging experience and proficiency, including 3D Lab or IR imaging, or Cardiac imaging.
- Site proctor/preceptor for onboarding new hires and cross-training.
- Dual imaging roles, with current proficiency and routinely performing in secondary modality.
