About the Role
Performs routine radiographic procedures and special computerized tomography (CT) procedures consistent with established quality standards and patient needs.
Responsibilities
- Confers with the supervisor to report problems related to equipment, staffing, and productivity, and makes recommendations.
- Performs daily quality assurance testing on the CT unit and emergency equipment; maintains required records per department procedures.
- Obtains pertinent clinical data prior to diagnostic examinations, supervises patient preparation, and records significant data.
- Ensures efficient patient flow through the scanner area via effective scheduling and assignment of responsibilities.
- Manages appropriate storage and routing of supplies in the CT area; monitors inventory and reports shortages.
- Maintains daily activity logs, procedures manual, compiles data, and issues monthly reports as required.
- Participates in orientation, on-the-job training, and in-service activities; demonstrates CT equipment and procedures as requested.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service following the ICARE service excellence framework.
- Assists physicians in emergency situations and adverse contrast reactions.
- Participates in the orientation of new personnel and develops in-services and cross-training programs when opportunities arise.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a two-year radiological technology program in an AMA-approved educational institution.
- Minimum of one year as a radiologic technologist and either one year of CT experience or successful completion of an in-house CT cross-training program.
Qualifications
- Current registry in a specific imaging modality (ARRT or ARDMS).
- Licensed in the State of Maryland.
- Maintains current license, CMEs, and participates in applicable educational activities as per regulatory requirements.

Pay
$42—$60 USD per hour.
