MUHA (Medical University Hospital Authority / Medical Center) is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT examinations across the entire patient population (neonate through geriatrics) for physician interpretation.

About the role

The CT Technologist utilizes all CT resources to deliver high-quality imaging with minimal supervision, functions effectively in a team-oriented environment, and applies age-specific criteria.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT examinations on patients from neonate through geriatrics.
  • Operate CT equipment and resources efficiently.
  • Produce diagnostic imaging with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain compliance with ARRT, state licensure, BLS, PPD, respirator fit-testing, and point-of-care training requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
  • One year of radiologic experience.
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Computed Tomography.
  • Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or American Red Cross equivalent).

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing, sitting, walking, reaching in all directions, and repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows/shoulders.
  • Infrequent climbing stairs, working in confined/cramped spaces, kneeling, squatting, and lifting/carrying up to 15 lbs.
  • Continuous ability to work indoors, from elevated areas, with good finger dexterity, full use of both legs and hands/arms, and corrected 20/40 vision in one or both eyes.
  • Continuous ability to see and recognize objects at close and far distances, discriminate colors, maintain hearing acuity (with correction), and perform gross motor functions with frequent fine motor movements.
  • Continuous ability to work in a latex-safe environment and maintain tactile sensory functions.
  • Frequent ability to maintain olfactory sensory function (selected positions).
  • Continuous ability to be qualified physically for respirator use (selected positions).

Pay

Hourly pay grade Health-28.

$20,000 sign-on bonus.

Schedule

  • Day shift: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
  • 10:30 AM – 9:00 PM.
  • 40 hours per week.
