CT Technologist- Day Shift 7:00-17:30

About the role

The Computed Tomography Technologist (CT) at Entity Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) works at the Laurel Street Pavilion CT scanner. They perform high-quality CT examinations for patients ranging from neonates to the elderly, under the supervision of the CT supervisor and manager of radiology.

Responsibilities

• Able to start IVs and inject IV contrast
• Proficient with computers and IT, able to process patient throughput on EPIC and other computer programs
• Able to work efficiently in an outpatient setting
• Undergoes regular training and maintenance of ARRT, state license, BLS, PPD, respirator fit test, and POC training
• Maintains high standards of patient care and image quality
• Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of radiologic technology
• One year of radiologic experience
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
• Familiarity with age-specific criteria
• Ability to function effectively in a team-oriented environment

Qualifications

• Must be able to produce very high-quality special imaging with little supervision
• Must be able to work from elevated areas, reach overhead, and perform repetitive motions
• Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs. unassisted
• Must have good vision, hearing, and tactile sensory functions
• Must be able to work rotating shifts and overtime as required
• Must be qualified for respirator use
