CT Technologist | Full Time

What You Will Do

The CT Technologist works under the supervision of the Radiologists and management team to acquire diagnostic images for interpretation utilizing ALARA principles; injects and distributes contrast for anatomy enhancement; assist with invasive procedures as requested. Equipment Used: Siemens Somatom X.cite 128 slice.

Requirements

• Associates in Radiologic Science
• Certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography A.R.R.T. (R) (CT)
• R.T. (R) (CT) ARRT, M.R.T. Texas Medical Board, CPR
• Minimum 6 months experience in CT

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors in Radiologic Science
• Greater than 1 year experience in CT
• Multiple modality registries from ARRT

Skills

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal relationship, decision making and patient care skills
• Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning, techniques, and radiation protection and safety
• Knowledge of radiographic physics
• Knowledge of medical terminology and cross sectional anatomy
• Ability to determine exposure factors to achieve optimum radiographic images with a minimum exposure to patients
• Ability to examine images for the purpose of evaluation of techniques, positions, and other related qualities
• Ability to position patient and adjust equipment to produce desired or optimum image of desired anatomy
• Skill in safe and efficient operation of CT equipment and quality control
• Veni-puncture and comprehensive knowledge of proper use of contrast and injection of such contrast for patient exams
• Ability to determine proper protocols to achieve optimum diagnostic images with high degree of efficiency
• Maintains ability to learn and perform interventional procedures as required in CT environment
