CT Technologist - Evening Shift

About the role

The CT Technologist I performs computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They prepare, evaluate, and analyze images, ensuring patient safety and adherence to ALARA principles. The technologist assists licensed practitioners with interventional procedures, manages medications and radiation exposure documentation, and educates healthcare providers and students.

Responsibilities

• Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history securely
• Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure patient safety
• Administer medications via vascular access as prescribed
• Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and transfer data appropriately
• Assist with interventional procedures and perform prescribed CT scans
• Educate and monitor students and healthcare team members

Qualifications

• Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification before starting
• Graduation from a radiologic technology program required; bachelor's degree preferred
• Ability to operate imaging equipment, follow safety protocols, and work collaboratively in a clinical setting
