Role Overview
A CT Technologist performs diagnostic CT exams, collaborating with radiologists and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate, high-quality imaging. The role involves patient preparation, exam execution, image review, and adherence to safety protocols. The technologist provides patient education, maintains equipment, and ensures documentation accuracy, supporting optimal patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency and adhere to safety guidelines.
- Prepare patients, verify orders, and perform imaging exams per protocols.
- Review images for quality, assist with equipment operation, and ensure patient comfort.
- Follow infection control standards and document procedures accurately.
- Support training of students and other staff in exam protocols and equipment use.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licenses: ARRT(R) Radiography, relevant state licensure, BLS certification.
- Preferred: ARRT CT certification, 1+ years CT experience.
- Skills: anatomy knowledge, image evaluation, equipment operation, effective communication, teamwork, and emergency response.
