Job Summary

Performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan images. Produces quality computed tomography exam images and exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides for patient care and initiates life support measure as necessary. Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and healthcare workers.

Qualifications

  • Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school or JCERT accredited program is required.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification is required at the time of hire.
  • If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure through the NDMIRT Board is required.
  • If working in Aberdeen, South Dakota (SD), CT certification is required within 24 months of hire.
  • In the state of Iowa, all technologists must have a permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health in order to practice in the state of Iowa.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and I.V. certification within six weeks of employment and re-certification as necessary is required.

About the Role

Sanford Rural Network Facilities sites may expand job responsibilities based on the needs of the facility, to include, but not limited to: on-call rotation nights, weekends, and holidays.

Possesses the skills and knowledge to operate CT equipment to produce quality CT scans as well as the ability to perform related procedures and protocols. Possesses the ability to learn and utilize new technology as well as orient new employees. Possesses the ability to professionally obtain information from patients or their responsible parties to further improve their personalized treatment and care.

Pay

Salary Range: $32.00 - $46.50 Pay Info: Sign-on bonus available!
