About the role
This nursing role focuses on delivering patient- and family-centered care by applying the nursing process to address the physical, psychological, emotional, and social needs of diverse patients.
Responsibilities
- Develops individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and care partners, respecting cultural beliefs and values.
- Engages in effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams, incorporating evidence-based practice and cultural awareness.
- Provides education tailored to patient and family needs, minimizing risks and supporting health literacy.
- Utilizes health information technology for communication, documentation, and quality improvement efforts.
- Collaborates within inter-professional teams, fostering respect, open communication, and shared decision-making.
- Contributes to creating an inclusive environment, participates in safety and quality initiatives, and seeks ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- Accredited nursing diploma, with a preferred BSN within three years, and active RN licensure in the practice state.
- Prior acute care experience is preferred.
- Must hold BLS certification and demonstrate strong communication, assessment, education, and documentation skills.
