Job Summary
The CT Technologist performs prescribed CT scans and/or radiologic procedures for diagnostic purposes under the supervision of the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and the Lead Imaging Technologist. They ensure quality patient care, maintain regulatory requirements, participate in quality assurance programs, monitor supplies and equipment, communicate effectively, and take emergency call/standby.
Essential Functions
- Performs prescribed CT examinations according to established practices and Radiologist protocols.
- Collaborates with customers to complete CT examinations efficiently.
- Able to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations.
- Maintains regulatory requirements related to Radiologic Technology and comply with state, federal, and local regulations.
- Participates in quality assurance programs to ensure safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Maintains efficiency in CT supply and equipment usage.
- Communicates effectively with Imaging staff, patients, and all customers to promote quality patient care and safety.
- Takes emergency call/standby after normal operating hours as needed.
Minimum Job Requirements
- Graduate of an AMA approved school of radiologic technology.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in diagnostic radiology and CT.
- ARRT Radiography and Computed Tomography registration.
- OBMI State of Oregon Radiography and Computed Tomography license.
- Current AHA BLS certification.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Advanced workstation computer skills including MS Office applications, PACS, HER.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced computer skills for high technology and computer-driven equipment.
- Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy.
