Position Description

Performs radiographic exams for patients of all age groups.

Required Qualification

  • Associate's degree or completed hospital based program in Radiology required.
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiologic Technology preferred.
  • American Registry Radiologic Technologist ("ARRT") in CT license required.
  • New York State Department of Health Diagnostic Radiographic Technologist License mandatory.
  • Will consider a non-ARRT-CT candidate; however, candidate must take and pass ARRT CT exam within six (6) months of hire.
  • Minimum three (3) years' experience specializing in Computed Tomography ("CT") Technology and cross-section anatomy.
  • Five (5) years’ experience specializing in CT preferred.

Preferred Qualification

  • Five (5) years’ experience specializing in CT preferred.

Physical Demands

  • Heavy lifting and bending.
  • Long periods of standing.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to see and read well.
  • Ability to hear, listen and follow instructions.
  • Sufficient mobility and dexterity of both arms or mechanical substitutes to operate a stretcher, move patients and other company equipment.

  • Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton's Employee Health Services*
  • Successfully complete a 4-panel drug screen*
  • Met Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings.
  • Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
