About the role
As a CT Technologist Trainee at RadNet, you will join a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in 21st-century healthcare. You’ll assist with CT exams while learning under supervision, aligning with RadNet’s commitment to better clinical outcomes for patients, providers, payors, and regulators.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing patients for CT exams and explain procedures in a courteous and professional manner.
- Learn proper positioning techniques, immobilization methods, and safety procedures for CT imaging under supervision.
- Observe and assist with administering contrast media (only after obtaining venipuncture certification and under direct supervision, if applicable).
- Support technologists with image processing, PACS transmission, and quality assurance checks.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in educational activities, in-service training, and on-the-job instruction to gain competency in CT imaging.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared for patient procedures.
- Provide professional and compassionate care to patients throughout the imaging process.
- Complete administrative tasks, paperwork, and data entry as assigned.
- Perform other related duties as assigned while learning the full scope of the CT Technologist role.
Requirements
- Current ARRT(R) and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology (CRT).
- Must obtain ARRT (CT) certification and/or applicable State CT license within the timeframe required by RadNet policy or state regulations. Continued employment in the trainee role is contingent upon meeting this requirement.
- Completion of an accredited Radiology program.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- Venipuncture certification preferred; if not held, must obtain within required timeframe.
- Ability to learn and apply specialized CT equipment operation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to relate to patients, physicians, and team members.
