CT Tech -PRN 2nd Shift

About the role

Performs a variety of basic and advanced CT procedures under the direction of the Staff Radiologist and according to departmental protocols. Provides direct patient care, ensures safety for all patients, and delivers high-quality diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality CT imaging procedures following departmental protocols and physician instructions.
• Verifies patient identification, medical history, and exam orders before procedures.
• Safely administers and monitors IV contrast injections per hospital and departmental policy.
• Assesses patients for contraindications, allergies, and potential complications prior to contrast use.
• Maintains accurate documentation in PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
• Troubleshoots CT equipment and escalates issues promptly to leadership or service engineers.
• Affixes to hospital infection control policies, including use of PPE and cleaning protocols.
• Provides backup support to other modalities or imaging areas as directed by leadership.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 2-year accredited Radiography Program
• Current ARRT certification ARRT (CT) credential (or CT Registry Board eligible)
• IEMA licensure (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• IV certification (preferred)
