Major Responsibilities
- Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings, consistent with departmental and professional standards and protocols.
- Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records.
- Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly.
- Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams.
- Promptly and properly completes exams, performs QC on images and appropriately sends exams to PACS for the physicians to review.
Position Qualifications
- Maintain all area specific CEUs for ARRT, DPH according to regulation.
- Must take the initial exam for the ARRT certification in CT Scan within 6 months of the completion of the required competencies. Exam delays will be reviewed on a case by case basis.
- Must pass the ARRT CT certification exam within 12 months.
- BLS certification with 30 days of hire.
License/Certification/Education
- AART certification in Radiology or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine.
- RTR licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
Experience/Skills
