About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Abide by the Mercycare Mission and values while performing all CT procedures in accordance with department standards.
  • Obtain and record a complete clinical history pertinent to the examination requested.
  • Evaluate requests for appropriateness; refer concerns to the coordinator and/or radiologist.
  • Instruct patients on the nature of the exam and communicate post-procedure information effectively.
  • Ensure proper radiation protection measures to provide an ALARA environment for patients, co-workers, and self.
  • Understand the ALARA program and actively participate in the dosimetry program.
  • Complete all required documentation related to patient care, imaging procedures, and RIS requirements.
  • Demonstrate proper use of positioning devices and other equipment to ensure safe, accurate, and complete exams.
  • Assist in the instruction of new personnel.

Requirements

  • AAS Degree in Radiologic Technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a CT Technologist.
  • Current ARRT registration, NYS license, and certification to inject.
  • Experience on Siemens equipment preferred.

Pay

Pay Range: $41.45–$56.86 per hour, based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The range may vary based on location.
