About the Role

Performs all CT procedures in accordance with established department policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. This role works the night shift on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, located at MCE with the adult population. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for full-time positions (not applicable to current VUMC staff or former staff who have worked for VUMC in the past twelve months).

Responsibilities

  • Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate, and cost-effective imaging.
  • Applies a broad range of skills to ensure exams are completed timely and meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Provides appropriate CT screening processes to patients, staff, and self according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Supports colleagues, delivers excellent services, ensures high quality, manages resources effectively, and fosters innovation.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
  • Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Licensure: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.

Technical Capabilities

  • Radiology (Fundamental Awareness): Limited experience, training, or exposure; demonstrates sufficient proficiency to perform limited radiology and/or sonography services as directed.
  • Anatomy & Physiology Knowledge (Fundamental Awareness): Limited experience or training in anatomy and physiology.
  • Compliance (Fundamental Awareness): Basic knowledge of core rules, regulations, and industry-regulating bodies; knows where to seek further explanation and support.
  • Patient Documentation (Fundamental Awareness): Limited experience or training in patient documentation.
