Pay

$34.81 - $59.18 per hour based on relevant experience, skills, and abilities.

• Shift differentials: +$2.75/hour for hours worked after 6PM, +$3.00/hour for weekend shifts

• 0.6 FTE - Bonney Lake Fri, 0630-1900 + Sunrise Sat, 0630-1900
• 1.0 FTE Float - All Sites, Mon-Fri, Variable shift
• No on-call or overnight shifts

Responsibilities

• Perform CT functions in accordance with ARRT standards and ethics, complying with company policies and safety regulations.
• Prepare patients for CT exams with thorough explanations and clear instructions; obtain relevant patient history.
• Accurately implement physician orders, producing images with minimal repeatability.
• Perform IV punctures and necessary computer functions associated with patient exams (PACS).
• Maintain a neat and well-stocked work area and patient exam spaces.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist radiologists in intricate CT examinations, including tissue biopsies and fluid drainages.
• Compile and verify patient information, including identification, procedure requests, pregnancy status, and preparation.
• Assess and document patient conditions, contraindications, and lab values prior to administering contrast media.
• Review patient charts and physician requests to determine optimal scanning parameters for suspected pathology.
• Verify patient consent, explaining risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up procedures.
• Determine appropriate type and dose of contrast agents based on patient age, weight, and medical status.
• Administer contrast agents, monitor patient condition, and respond to reactions; use radiation safety devices.
• Perform venipuncture as requested by the radiologist.
• Follow and document scan protocols and radiologist-prescribed parameters accurately.
• Complete all documentation, imaging, and archiving to maintain patient files without omissions.
• Document patient tolerance of examinations, contrast materials, and medications; report adverse effects.
• Travel to other sites as needed; check work email daily.
• Maintain confidentiality of all center and patient information per HIPAA guidelines.
• Follow the center’s exposure control plan for bloodborne and airborne pathogens.
• Perform all other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or equivalent on-the-job experience required to pass the ARRT (R).
• Knowledge of human cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Proficiency in using medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
• Awareness of common safety hazards and precautions to maintain a safe work environment.
• Professional and ethical judgment with strong critical thinking skills.
• High standards for accurately recording patient information.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to confidentiality.
• Punctuality and efficiency with minimal absences.
• Ability to cooperate and maintain good rapport with co-workers for efficient workflow and patient care.
