CT Tech, CT scan, Part Time, Day

Reporting to and functioning under the general supervision of the Supervisor, the CT Technologist prepares for and operates a CT Scanner following specific physician orders. Produces detailed computer-generated scans of patients for diagnostic and interventional information. Assists patients onto the scanner, verifies patient identification prior to scan, selects patient from worklist, ensures exam is archived on the PACS and completed properly in the RIS. Maintains facilities in proper order and keeps abreast of all new CT procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT Scanner to produce diagnostic and interventional scans as ordered by physicians.
• Assist patients onto the scanner and verify patient identification.
• Select patient from worklist and ensure exams are archived on PACS and completed in RIS.
• Maintain facilities and equipment in proper order.
• Stay updated on new CT procedures and techniques.
• Perform tasks accurately with attention to detail while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Function independently and competently in stressful situations.
• Work cooperatively with patients, family members, co-workers, and multidisciplinary team members.
• Utilize effective time management to prioritize responsibilities and respond to emergency situations.
• Apply analytical and critical thinking skills to problem-solve effectively.

Requirements

• Completion from an accredited Radiology Technology program.
• Registered by the ARRT in CT; existing employees must obtain advanced CT Certification within one (1) year of employment.
• Registered in Radiologic Technology with advanced CT certification from the ARRT.
• Current and valid license from the State of NJ DEP.
• Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association.
• BLS certification required.
• One year of practical experience as a staff radiologic technologist preferred; CT experience preferred.

Schedule

• Shift: Saturday, 10 hours (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM).
• 1 holiday per year.

Pay

Pay range: $47.80 – $59.75 per hour. Actual individual salaries vary depending on role, experience, education, and licensure.
