Responsibilities
- Reviews patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, and imaging site.
- Protocols procedures with radiologist as needed.
- Transports patients to and from the exam room and assists them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment.
- Performs CT procedures and observes patient during procedure to ensure patient's safety and comfort.
- Administers contrast materials as required; initiates emergency response to contrast reaction as needed.
- Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors, including image laterality marking and annotation as required by CT procedure protocols.
- Utilizes RIS, PACS, and other ancillary image management systems as needed.
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates daily workflow for the department’s activities.
- Maintains equipment in efficient operating order; performs and documents all required quality control testing; contacts service for repair and maintenance as directed.
- Rotates throughout the department as staffing and volume dictates.
- Participates in orientation, training, and in-servicing of staff, as needed.
- Maintains an orderly, clean, and safe environment for patients and staff in assigned area; maintains stock and inventory as assigned.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- Associate’s in CT physics and cross-sectional anatomy (Preferred)
- 1 year general radiology experience via employment or training (Required)
Qualifications
- Radiologic Technologist - License Certified AZ Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) (Required) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) - License AZ Certified Nuclear Med Technologist (Required)
- Certified CT Technologist (CTCT) - Certification (Required)
- ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Certification: Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT(R)) in addition to ARRT (CT) within a year of hire. Licensure must be provided prior to start date (Required) or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) - CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) - Certification: Current and valid NMTCB and licensure must be provided prior to start date (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification: Current and valid Basic Life Support Certification (Required)
- A Temporary license is acceptable at the time of hire; a permanent license must be obtained within twelve months from the hire date.
Pay
$7,500 Sign-on Bonus Available
