About the Role
Perform CT exams in compliance with regulatory agencies and hospital policies and procedures. Demonstrate sound knowledge and proficiency in the use of CAT Scan equipment. Conduct CT exams as per protocol on a variety of body parts in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Complete appropriate history forms and Technologist exam sheets.
- Stock rooms with supplies.
- Confirm that consent forms are completed by physician when necessary.
- Check labs when required.
- Perform accurate data entry, including exam times.
- Mark images as verified/dictated in PACS.
- Scan documents into PACS and attach to the correct exam.
- Send exams from PACS or AW to the Amicus Tele-rad system when necessary.
- Enter exam notes on PACS.
- Verify orders in patient charts and follow physician written orders.
- Initial chart when exam is complete.
- Interact with Radiologists and communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and colleagues.
- Start I.V.s when necessary.
- Correctly and safely administer contrast media with power injector.
- Move patients on and off the table when necessary.
- Organize patient exams for optimal workflow.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new employees and clinical students.
Requirements
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Radiologic Technologist/Radiographer Vocational School Graduate.
- Certification in (ARRT-CT) Computed Tomography or (ARRT-R) Radiography.
- 2 years of experience required.
- No travel required.
