CT Team Lead

Responsibilities

• Covers the oversight and coordination of CT personnel and students to ensure quality patient care.
• Performs as a CT Technologist within their specialty area.
• Maintains the required knowledge and skills necessary to perform the procedures in their specialty area of supervision.
• Assigns duties to ensure provision of high quality service and timely completion of procedures.
• Supports the director in achieving departmental goals and objectives.
• Improves the quality of services provided, reduces costs, and enhances customer satisfaction.
• Orients new staff, assists in evaluations, and interviews prospective staff as requested by the director.
• Assists in the clinical instruction of CT students.
• Provides input into the selection of capital equipment and budgetary issues.
• Responsible for quality assurance and quality control activities within the area.
• Updates staff on safety regulations and procedure changes.
• Responsible for maintaining equipment and notifying the director of malfunctions.
• Responsible for implementing, monitoring, and resolving employee safety issues and concerns.
• Assists with the preparation of various reports and analyses as requested by the department director.
• Communicates report findings to requesting parties.
• Prepares work schedules.
• Regularly disseminates information to their individual modality through staff meetings or memos.
• Provides on-call coverage as needed.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic patient care environment.
• Demonstrates competence in providing care and services to patients based on their age-specific and/or functional needs.
• Abides by HIPAA regulations to protect patient health information.
• Ensures personal performance aligns with the organization's Mission, Vision, and Service Pride Standards.
• Conducts introductory and annual evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Maintains a safe and therapeutic patient care environment.

Qualifications

• High School or GED (Required)
• BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (Required)
• Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in X-Ray and CT (Required)
• Permanent license from the Ohio Department of Health (Required)
• Knowledge normally gained in 2-3 years of education/training after High school, 2-3 years previous Experience plus 3-6 months of time on the job (Preferred)

Other Job Functions

• Types patient information into computer.
• Orders and stocks necessary supplies.
• Attends and completes all mandatory in-services.
• Ensures that staff attends and completes all mandatory in-services.
