CT Scan Supervisor
Major Responsibilities
Reports to DI Director. Monitors workflow at both campuses and adjusts staffing as needed. Coordinates scheduling of add-on patients. Informs DI Director and appropriate service personnel of system problems and documents accurately and completely.
Ability to interact with internal and external customers and problem-solving skills for when patient or personnel issues arise. Possession of exceptional problem-solving skills as related to CT. Ability to provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors, staff, internal and external customers in a professional, service oriented, respectful manner using skills in active listening and problem solving. Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Implement protocol changes and update protocols in scanner. Maintain current policies and procedures in CT. CT Safety education to all necessary staff. Complete ACR accreditation application and participate in the ACR processes and guidelines for both campuses.
Promotes positive teamwork within CT department.
Position Qualifications
Standard Supervisor Level Responsibilities:
- Supervises assigned personnel including performance evaluations, scheduling, orientation, and training.
- Makes recommendations on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, discipline, terminations, and similar actions.
- Resolves grievances and other personnel problems within position responsibilities.
- Captions: Coordinates the assignment of tasks and helps resolve technical and operational problems.
- Evaluates the impact of solutions to ensure goals are achieved.
- Provides effective direction, guidance, and leadership over the staff for effective teamwork and motivation, and fosters the effective integration of efforts with system-wide initiatives.
- Encourages and supports diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, respect, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

- Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies such as Joint Commission, DPH, etc.
- Develops and maintains procedures necessary to meet regulatory requirements.
- Ensures that department complies with hospital established policies, quality assurance programs, safety, and infection control policies and procedures.
- Ensures adequate equipment and supplies for department.
- Develops and maintains established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Ensures compliance to all health and safety regulations and requirements.

Qualifications
- License/Certification/Education Required: Level of knowledge equivalent to that acquired through completion of an Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology. Registration or registry eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Licensure to operate radiology equipment in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Experience/Skills Required: 2-5 years of CT experience with progressive responsibilities. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
