Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small group instruction using specialized curricula and long-term scope & sequence plans.
- Assess student progress using varied methods to support growth toward IEP goals.
- Design and implement goals that align with students' IEPs.
Professional Learning, Development, and Growth
- Collaborate with the Dean of Special Service or the Compliance Coordinator and the school team to improve instructional, culture-building leadership skills.
Requirements
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
- High level of personal organization and planning.
- Embraces feedback as an opportunity for growth, openly listening and reflecting on input from others.
Skills And Characteristics
- Bachelor’s degree with a GPA of at least 3.0; Master’s degree preferred.
- If your GPA is between 2.5 and 3.0, you may submit additional recommendations to be considered.
- Connecticut requires all teacher to be certified or in the process of obtaining a certification.
Qualifications
- Experience working with K-12 students, with two years of teaching experience preferred.
