As a Patient Safety Attendant, you'll provide one-on-one support to patients, helping keep them safe, comfortable, and cared for. This is a very hands-on, physically demanding role—you'll be on your feet, assisting with bathing, feeding, mobility, vital signs, blood glucose checks, and fall prevention while providing constant observation. You will support Huntersville Medical Center, Presbyterian Medical Center, and Ballantyne Medical Center. Patient safety is your priority, and no two days are the same.

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: Previous hospital experience, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • De-Escalation Techniques (within 90 days of employment), required.
  • Life Support Responder (within 90 days of employment), required.
  • Management of Aggressive Behaviors (MOAB) Training (within 90 days after completion of De-Escalation Training), required.
• Additional Skills (required):
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing as applicable.
  • Knowledgeable regarding guidelines for infection control, body substance precautions, patient safety, and body mechanics.
  • Maintains acceptable standards set by those guidelines.
  • Ability to work with all age group patients or act as a companion.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation.
