About the role
The Guidance Center (TGC) is seeking a Community Support Services Supervisor to lead and supervise the CSS team in Leavenworth. This position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Counseling, along with licensure as an LMSW, LMLP, LCP, LMFT, LCMFT, LPC, LCPC, or LSCSW. One year of post-masters clinical experience in a mental health setting and at least one year of experience in program management and supervision of staff are required. Experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and evidence-based practices, as well as prior case management experience for SPMI adults and/or SED youth, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct orientation, training, supervision, and ongoing performance management of Targeted Case Managers (TCMs), Case Managers (CMs), Adult Psychosocial Group Coordinator, client financial advocates, and other CSS staff within the assigned location.
- Deliver comprehensive intake assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide outpatient therapy services for a designated caseload of clients, ensuring adherence to clinical best practices.
- Deliver and oversee CSS services, including case management, skill-building, and rehabilitation services, ensuring quality, compliance, and person-centered care.
- Provide case management services to assigned clients as needed to ensure continuity of care and timely service delivery.
- Serve as the Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) for non-therapy clients within the assigned county, ensuring development, implementation, and review of treatment plans and Plans of Care.
- Provide supervision and clinical oversight to assigned CSS staff, including regular supervision, documentation review, and support with complex cases.
- Monitor staff productivity, documentation compliance, and service delivery standards across CSS programs, implementing corrective actions and coaching as needed.
- Support staff development through ongoing training, mentoring, and performance improvement planning to promote high-quality service delivery and staff retention.
- Provide daytime crisis services in assigned county when needed
- Work additional hours when needed to complete required work.
Qualifications
- Required: Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Professional Counseling, and licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as an LMSW, LMLP, LCP, LMFT, LCMFT, LPC, LCPC, or LSCSW by the first day of employment.
- Experience: one-year post-masters clinical experience in a mental health setting, and minimum one year experience in program management and supervision of staff.
- Prior experience: experience with the Kansas system of community-based mental health care and associated evidence-based practices, and prior experience as a case manager for SPMI adults and/or SED youth is preferred.
