CSC Technician

Responsibilities

• Sampling (Prototyping) of customer components for Product Families Automotive & Precision Components
• Execution of sampling full process including standardized documentation according to the Oerlikon GATE process
• Support Project Management in the realization phase of Automotive, Medical and Aerospace projects
• Supports engineering work at a local level to execute new coating recipes and processes specific to the different market segments.
• Supports the process of qualification/acceptance testing of new process equipment for Automotive and Precision Components market segments.
• Performs quality measurements according to customer specifications and documents results
• Carry out batch to batch operational support on coating systems
• Gives input on improvements to existing production processes and procedures in collaboration with CSC Project Managers, Operations, and Quality
• Co-develops coating processes and new tribological coating systems up to production release
• Follows the Oerlikon Balzers GATE {Global Access to Efficiency} processes and documentation.
• Works closely with the sales team which acts as a liaison between Oerlikon and the customer base

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed vocational training as an electronics technician, mechanic, physics laboratory technician, or similar field
• Professional experience in a similar position is desirable
• Experience in vacuum and coating technology as well as in quality assurance/coating analysis is an advantage
• Structured working methods and a high degree of independence
• Precise, reliable, and deadline-oriented work approach
• Strong ability to communicate effectively with the regional and global team members
• Proficient in MS Office
• Familiarity with IATF16949, ISO13485, AS9100, and/or NADCAP certifications, is an asset
• Ability to work safely with a variety of chemicals and gases.

Pay

Reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $27 to $40 per hour.
