CSA Engineer (On-Site) (Data Center)
About the role
JACOBS has an immediate opportunity for an On-Site CSA Engineer at our project near Baton Rouge, LA. The CSA On-Site Engineer serves as the Professional's on-site representative for civil, structural, and architectural disciplines throughout the construction phase of the project.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for CSA-related design and construction matters.
- Perform daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, compliance, and constructability.
- Cookordinate civil, structural, and architectural design issues between field teams and design consultants.
- Evaluate field conditions and facilitate timely design clarifications and revisions.
- Support responses to RFIs, submittals, substitution requests, and field inquiries.
- Review installation activities for conformance with design intent and project specifications.
- Identify and communicate observed deficiencies, deviations, and quality concerns.
- Participate in punch walks, inspections, testing activities, and project turnover efforts.
- Provide weekly site observation reports documenting progress, risks, issues, and recommendations.
- Coordinate with BIM coordination efforts, mockups, and site validation activities.
- Coordinate with QA/QC, commissioning, and Owner representatives to resolve construction issues.
- Proactively identify project risks and support mitigation planning.
- Establish clear communication and escalation processes among project stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center construction projects; or 5+ years supporting hyperscale data centers.
- Strong understanding of CSA systems, construction methods, and industry standards.
- Experience reviewing drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently in an active construction environment.

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $95,200.00 to $130,900.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
