About the role

Support Community School for Adults (CSA) teachers in the implementation of the Career Foundations Curriculum. This involves actions such as observing classes, providing feedback, modeling lessons, coordinating classes at off-campus sites, and offering general support to teachers about the curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Observe classes and provide feedback to teachers.
  • Model lessons from the Career Foundations curriculum to the class of the teacher in need.
  • Cook up and coordinate the implementation of Career Foundations classes at off-campus sites.
  • Offer general support to teachers regarding the curriculum.

Requirements

The Hawaii State Department of Education requires a Bachelor's Degree for most teacher positions, except for designated Career and Technology Education (CTE) positions. You must enroll in a Teacher's Education Program and meet Hawaii licensing requirements within 3 years of employment. You must also have a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit upon hire.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and a valid Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Hire Permit. You must also be actively pursuing Hawaii licensing requirements.
