CS Security Manager
About the role
Nooks is pioneering CIaaS, designing, building, and operating secure facilities for defense and national security. The Security Manager will lead security operations, oversee a team, and act as the primary liaison with partners.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of site and program security, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, SCI, and SAP regulations.
Oversee site security operations to maintain high physical security readiness, reporting findings directly to the Senior Manager of Industrial Security.
Own security incident response, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions.
Manage SCIF and classified space accreditation, conducting risk assessments, audits, and vulnerability analyses.
Prepare and manage DD254s, coordinating with partners on subcontractor requirements and translating contract language into operational practices.
Evaluate and improve internal security processes, providing feedback to managers and executives.
Supervise and mentor the site security team, ensuring operational readiness and growth.
Act as the primary liaison for escalated security matters, representing the site to partners, clients, and government entities.
Provide strategic recommendations on security program direction and methods to site and company leadership.
Support the Growth, Product, and Contracts teams with technical input and feedback on security products and services.
Cross-Functional Expectations
Drive decisions on site-level security posture, not just execute on others' directions.
Work closely with IT & Cyber, Product, Ops, and Growth teams, serving as the senior security point of contact for clients and partners.
Mentor and develop the site security team directly.
Represent Nooks with the credibility of someone who owns the accreditation and compliance posture of the site.
The Skillset
At least 9 years of experience in industrial and physical security, with significant time in cleared defense contracting, SCIF, and SAP environments.
Prior experience serving as an FSO or in a role carrying equivalent authority.
Deep working knowledge of NISPOM, SCI, and SAP requirements.
Demonstrated people-management experience, including supervising, mentoring, and developing a well-rounded security team.
Strong executive presence and communication skills, with comfort serving as the primary liaison to senior government and industry stakeholders.
A track record of driving process improvements and pace in a compliance-heavy environment.
Eligibility & Clearance
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
In-scope TS/SCI security clearance eligibility is required.
All candidates must be eligible for and committed to maintaining a U.S. government security clearance as a condition of employment.
Pay
$120,000 - $145,000 USD
