Cryo Engineer

Main Responsibilities

• Perform system-level assembly and testing of cryogenic dilution refrigerators
• Support factory acceptance testing and on-site installation at customer locations
• Carry out on-site system commissioning and acceptance testing
• Deliver expert technical services for Bluefors systems
• Document system performance, processes, and technical activities
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and procedures
• Support additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (MSc) or higher in applied or technical physics
• Strong technical aptitude and hands-on approach to engineering work
• Basic IT skills and proficiency with standard office programs
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Strong teamwork and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and in a structured, systematic manner
• Positive, proactive, and hands-on attitude
• Commitment to high-quality work and continuous improvement
• Ability to align with company Leadership Principles and workplace competencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe cryogenic engineering practices
• Experience in experimental or low-temperature physics
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• A valid driver’s license (minimum 1 year) with a clean driving record
• Experience working in an international or customer-facing environment
• A proactive mindset and willingness to learn and adapt

Pay

Salary range: $100,000 – $125,000 annually, with potential for annual bonus

Schedule

Hybrid, with flexibility for remote work; candidates must reside in the NYC metropolitan area, California, or Chicago, IL
