We offer pre-packaged cruise vacations to destinations worldwide and are seeking motivated, ambitious, and energetic individuals who love cruising and providing unforgettable customer service.
About the Role
As a Cruise Sales Representative, you will sell ocean-going and river cruises, as well as pre-packaged air and cruise vacations to destinations like Europe, Alaska, Asia, Australia, and beyond. You’ll build long-lasting relationships with clients while maximizing revenue opportunities through upgrades, add-ons, and insurance. This is an inbound call center position—no cold calling required.
Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls to assist travelers in planning the perfect cruise vacation tailored to their needs and expectations.
- Understand and anticipate client preferences, suggesting suitable travel options and upgrades (e.g., cabin staterooms, air/land components, cancellation insurance).
- Maximize revenue by communicating the value of cruising, providing detailed ship information, and recommending enhancements.
- Develop and nurture client relationships to ensure repeat business.
- Consistently exceed sales activity and financial targets while adhering to company procedures.
- Research and stay updated on travel destinations, including customs, weather, government regulations, and COVID-19 procedures for cruise lines.
- Assist clients via online chat to help them choose the right vacation.
- Attend in-person and online training sessions with preferred cruise lines to stay current on industry changes.
- Collaborate with support departments to resolve client issues quickly and escalate major concerns to supervisors.
- Maintain a professional image in all interactions, both with clients and cruise line partners.
- Adhere to department attendance, phone adherence, and performance expectations as outlined in training.
Requirements
- No prior travel industry experience necessary—full training provided (personal cruise experience preferred).
- Experience in sales and customer service or a 4-year college degree.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with computers and the internet; minimum typing speed of 35 WPM.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Physical ability to sit for up to 8 hours daily while using a computer and telephone simultaneously.
- Ability to read multiple monitors and handle incoming calls efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in commission-based sales or a fast-paced environment.
- Client/account management or CRM experience.
- Existing client base.
- Previous travel agency experience (optional), including certifications like Certified Travel Counselor.
- Cruise sales experience.
- Advanced sales techniques.
- Call center experience (preferred but not required).

Schedule
- Full-time (40 hours) or part-time (24–39 hours) available.
- Flexible shifts covering days, evenings, and weekends (current hours: Mon–Fri 7:00 AM–8:00 PM, Sat–Sun 7:00 AM–5:30 PM; expanding to 6:00 AM–8:00 PM weekdays).
- Schedules provided 30 days in advance; shift swapping allowed after training.
- Open 365 days a year, with accommodations for scheduling requests when possible.
Pay
$45,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year, with uncapped earning potential through bonuses and commissions.
