Lake Huron Medical Center is a 139-bed community hospital providing a wide range of inpatient and outpatient health care services to residents of St. Clair and Sanilac counties. Services include emergency care, primary stroke center, cancer care, surgical services, physical therapy and rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, and specialized diabetes programs. Responsibilities
- Perform respiratory therapeutic and pulmonary diagnostic procedures as ordered by the physician.
- Assess, plan, implement, and document patient care with consideration of age and population-specific needs.
- Serve as Lead RCP in the absence of a supervisor, assuming responsibility for the section or department during the shift.
Requirements
- Current State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
- Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) upon hire and maintained thereafter.
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA or ARC within 60 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the AHA within 60 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) years of acute care experience required.
Schedule
Part Time (less than 60 hours per pay period), Night Shift.
