Responsibilities

• Prepares school crossing zone twice a day at the beginning of shift when children are traveling to and from school by turning on flashing lights and placing warning cones in the street.
• Takes children safely across the street as they arrive, watching traffic closely and stopping cars if necessary.
• Removes warning cones and turns off flashing lights at the end of the shift.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Regular and prompt attendance is essential.
• Mental effort required daily.
• Job performed outside with exposure to elements (heat, cold, wet conditions).
• Involves walking and standing for long periods.
• Constant seeing and hearing required.
• Subject to exposure to environmental and/or physical hazards.
• Must have mobility to intervene in situations that present danger to children or self.

Pay

$21 per hour

Schedule

• 7.5 hours per week
• Morning: Monday–Friday, 7:15 am–8:00 am
• Afternoon: Monday–Thursday, 2:20 pm–3:00 pm; Friday, 12:20 pm–1:00 pm
• Morning and afternoon shifts both required
