About the role
The job of Crossing Guard is to provide support to the instructional process with specific responsibilities for ensuring the safety and welfare of students in transit to and from school, and communicating observations and/or incidents that may impact the general well-being of students.
Responsibilities
- Assists students, parents, staff, and visitors to provide safe access to and from assigned locations.
- Communicates safety and security policies and enforcement procedures to students, staff, and visitors to ensure understanding and potential consequences of violations.
- Directs traffic to ensure the safety of students and other pedestrians.
Pay
Competitive salary based on experience: Category B, Step 1 starts at $19.00/hour for 3 hours/day, 175 days/year.
