About the role
Responsible for ensuring the safe crossing of pedestrians, students, and staff at designated intersections and crossing areas. The Crossing Guard will monitor traffic, assist pedestrians safely across roadways, and follow all established safety procedures. Strong communication skills, attentiveness, and the ability to remain alert in varying weather conditions are essential.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional demeanor, aiding customers, employees, visitors, and guests
- Maintain a visible presence in the facility/building assigned
- Monitor the environment, with the ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activity
- Become familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic, know the customers, tenants, visitors, and guests
- Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, and guests in a professional manner at all times
- Follow established emergency action planning and procedures
- Prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, as directed

Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma, GED, or the equivalent
- Must have reliable means of communication and transportation
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and neat, professional appearance
- Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, or customer service experience helpful
Pay
$20.26 per hour
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–9:00 AM and 3:00 PM–4:00 PM
