PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Insight FS is headquartered in Jefferson, Wisconsin with 23 branches across the state and upper peninsula of Michigan. With 430+ employees (including seasonal workers) and approximately 50,000 customers, Insight FS operates in agronomy, agri-finance, precision agriculture, nutrient management, energy, feed, grain, and turf. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Sales and Customer Service
- Conducts professional sales calls using the FS Roadmap.
- Utilizes target marketing and professional sales techniques.
- Develops territory and competitive analysis.
- Provides agronomic products, services, and recommendations.
- Offers customer service through Precision Farming best practices, crop scouting, custom application services, and follow-up on customer complaints.
- Ensures the creditworthiness of customers, quotes prices, and prepares sales contracts.
- Promotes credit programs and assists in providing necessary information for credit establishment.
Operational Management
- Responsible for assigned product ordering, inventory control, and shipping/receiving.
- Manages plant operations including dry fertilizer blending and loading, handling of anhydrous ammonia, and mixing and handling of ag chemicals and liquid fertilizer.
- Collaborates with leadership team to ensure equipment, rolling stock, and facilities are in good working order.
- Assists with annual budget planning.
Other Functions
- Supports and contributes to company goals and objectives through collaboration.
- Collects for assigned product sales according to company credit policy.
- Maintains assigned vehicle according to company standards, adheres to uniform policy, and maintains professional image.
- Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA, and DOT policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS
- Typically requires an Associate's Degree in agricultural or business discipline, or equivalent, and 2 years of related work experience.
- Must have and maintain a Commercial Applicator's License.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a CDL and satisfactory driving record.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all applicable certifications, licenses, and permits.
- Exposure to extreme weather conditions, noisy conditions, working at varying heights, lifting up to 70 lbs, and participating in required training on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures.
