About the role
Per Diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) opportunity at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC. Rex is a 660-bed private, not-for-profit hospital affiliated with the UNC Health Care System, featuring a heart center, family birth center, cancer center, convalescent care center, adult care center, and wellness center.
The main campus has approximately 40 anesthetizing sites, including 24 main operating rooms, 6 procedure rooms, 3 OB suites, 6 additional procedure rooms, and various out-of-department locations (EP, TAVRs, Hybrid MRI). The Anesthesia Department includes around 30 anesthesiologists and 70 CRNAs, with an affiliation to the Raleigh School of Nurse Anesthesia. The team practices in a collegial atmosphere using an anesthesia care team approach, emphasizing collaboration, respect, and excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across a variety of surgical procedures, including cardiac, pediatrics, OBGYN, general, plastics, urology, and vascular.
- Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent from patients.
- Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients.
- Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
- Monitor the patient's physiological condition and perform necessary interventions.
- Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.
Requirements
- Current license as a registered professional nurse.
- Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education.
- Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
Pay
$175 per hour.
