Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital is a Level II Trauma Center located in Albany, Georgia—halfway between Atlanta and Florida's Gulf Coast beaches. Our 19 O.R.s (1 hybrid), 2 dedicated O.B. O.R.s, and 4 Endoscopy procedure rooms offer an excellent case mix including General, Urology, Ortho, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Plastics, ENT, and Endo.
Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous, inhalation, and other anesthetic agents during surgical, obstetrical, and medical procedures.
- Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluations.
- Develop and implement anesthesia care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Prepare, test, and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies for assigned procedures.
- Monitor patients' physiological status before, during, and after anesthesia administration.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
- Provide anesthesia services in all areas of the Anesthesia Department as needed.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
- Adhere to hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support departmental quality, safety, and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Provide direct patient care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
Requirements
- 4-year / Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Required)
- Higher Degree in Anesthesia (Required)
- 1+ year Anesthesia Experience (Preferred)
- New graduates accepted
- Will consider students enrolled in an accredited program
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNA)
