CRNA- Nurse Anesthetist - Per Diem

About the role

MaineHealth Stephens Hospital is recruiting an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to work per diem in Norway, Maine. The hospital employs three CRNAs covering three operating rooms and an endoscopy suite. Cases include general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, ENT, and endoscopy. The position is per diem with no call or weekend expectations. CRNAs work collaboratively in a care team model and are medically directed by a group of anesthesiologists.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, ENT, and endoscopy cases.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists as part of a care team model.
• Operate, use, and interpret data from a wide variety of anesthesia and perioperative equipment to support patient safety.
• Assess patient needs reflective of population‑specific and age‑specific requirements using knowledge of growth and development principles.
• Promote professionalism through involvement in professional organizations, teaching, research, publishing, or specialty certification.
• Maintain current licensure, certification, and insurability as required by the institution and state.

Requirements

• Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (or its predecessor).
• Current active Maine registered nurse licensure and compliance with state statutory/regulatory requirements for advanced practice registered nursing.
